Hire more valets. I parked and waited, standing outside of my vehicle, for 10 minutes with nobody in sight at the valet stand. Nobody from the lobby approached and there was no signage to proceed inside. I had to send my daughter in to find out what to do.
The saving grace of the valet situation last night was that the lone valet was able to retrieve my car in 15 minutes after texting for it, so I could make an emergency trip to buy an item I needed for a very important function today. Kudos to that overworked and undersupported man. $35/night to park is nothing but theft, especially in this neighborhood where there’s no other choice. Yes, I know it’s industry average, I’m not a tourist.
Beyond that- street noise was a constant even with closed windows and both sets of curtains shut. $3/bottle for water in the room is ridiculous. This is a Hilton property and that company makes billions.
Overall, I was a great Guest. I required nothing out of the ordinary, I tip well, and rather than faux, excess cheerfulness from the staff all I really need is polite, quiet competence. But that’s more for managers than frontline employees.
