After prepaying in full for our stay, upon our arrival we were told that there would be a parking fee and an additional hotel fee. There is open pavement parking no garage, so I m not sure why guests are now being charged for parking. The hotel is old, and needs to upgrade their elevators, AC, and plumbing.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. Front Desk stated that these charges are new. A customer should not be surprised by charges. When paying for the room, Hotel.com gives the total for stay. If there are additional charges this information should be included in the total pricing. There was an issue with the hot water & the AC. We have stayed here because of the marina view and the tasty restaurant breakfast. Now we are told that complimentary breakfast tickets given during special occasions will no longer be given to guests. We normally stay here during a birthday or anniversary celebration.
The Front Desk MGR clearly could have been more customer friendly. Fortunately, we found a beautiful hotel on the marina that we will be staying in the future. This hotel is fabulous! No parking fees or additional random charges. This is a better option for people who want to have value for their money.
Why pay for a old hotel that just wants the money and doesn't provide consistent cool AC, Hot Water, but imposes other charges on their guests. There's always a better option. This Hotel doesn't represent the Hilton standards very well.
