Not the Asian Hospitality I was expecting.
I recently stayed at this hotel for a work trip. In hindsight, choosing a family-oriented resort may not have been the best fit for my needs, but I was drawn by the promise of a well-equipped gym, which Iâm happy to say did not disappoint.
That said, the overall experience left me underwhelmed. The hotel is very large, and as a result, lacks any sense of personalization or warmth. The breakfast area, while offering a decent selection, was overwhelmingly busy, more akin to a crowded train station than a relaxing start to the day. The atmosphere was cold like in a hospital canteen.
Dining options were also limited. The Ă la carte menu in the main restaurant was surprisingly narrow unless you opted for the buffet, which may not appeal to all guests, particularly those looking for a lighter or more refined evening meal. Room service was equally underwhelming, both in terms of selection and quality.
All in all, I found my stay disappointing and not quite aligned with the standards I expected from the Shangri-La brand. Regrettably, I would be hesitant to return in the future.
