Expedia didn’t have any mention of pet fees for this inn. The person who checked us inn also didn’t ask nor tell us about the pet fee. We purposefully booked a place that was pet-friendly so we assumed the front desk would see that information and put us in the right place.
Suffice to say, the guy who checked us in was terse and didn’t say a word. Not even greeting us politely, he seemed bored.
Then come last day, some lady corners me and says “you have pets?? You have to pay the fee. You should’ve read the sign and if you didn’t read it that’s your fault.”
I understand a pet fee. What I don’t understand is why it wasn’t communicated. We didn’t try to hide anything. We didn’t know and lady puts the onus on us to read signs while they should’ve known our accommodation needs. Or at least asked for it.
Now, while she charged for the pet fee , she didn’t charge a penalty which was fine. I just wish there was info communicated clearly between Expedia and the inn, because this was a surprise fee
And for the place itself, I mean $89 a night, what you expect? Random figures hanging about all day staring.
Holes in the shower curtain and bed sheets, sticky patches on the carpet, The shower was fine but when you pulled on the tab, water was still flushing out the faucet so it was a waste. The toilet had scratches on it and peeling, the flush buttons were basically loose, no tissues, some dirt in the drawers I mean I can go on, but yeah, it’s $89/ night so it’s fine for the price
