First, I would like to say that the following review does not concern and evaluate the staff. During my stay, all staff members were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. This review is solely directed at the rooms and therefore also the decision-makers of the hotel.
I am aware that this hotel is one of the more affordable options in Strasbourg and therefore I do not expect the 'Ritz' or an 'Adlon'. However, one can still expect a certain minimum standard if one does not want to sleep in a hostel.
The location is good. It's a 20-minute walk from the old town and the main train station. Located on a rather quiet street, so the surroundings do not affect the loudness of the room (more on that later).
The main room (sleeping area & kitchenette) is spacious for two people and clean. The furniture is functional but not pretty. The bed was clean and equipped with a liquid-proof pad. I have no complaints here. The kitchenette is equipped with dishes and cutlery for 2 people. Microwave, stove, refrigerator, and kettle are available. Unfortunately, the refrigerator compressor in my case is quite loud, so noise-sensitive people should bring earplugs.
Now to the bathroom. This aspect also explains my poor rating. The equipment of the bathroom, the cleanliness, and the condition of the facilities do not, in my opinion, meet Central European standards.
