Nice overall, but didnât quite live up to the price.
This hotel was generally clean, trendy, and in good conditionâa solid option for New York City, where hotel standards can vary widely. The location was convenient for getting around by subway, which was a plus. That said, Flatiron isnât my favorite neighborhood, and while the area felt safe enough, thereâs not much charm compared to other NYC spots.
Our room was tight, which is expected in Manhattan, but the workspace was especially small, barely functional for anything more than checking email. We had a terrace, which was a nice feature in theory, but the metal table and chairs were uncomfortable, and the view wasnât anything specialânot really worth the upgrade in my opinion.
Service was fine, but not standout. Staff were polite, but I wouldnât call it warm or memorable. What really stood outâand not in a great wayâwas the hotelâs eco policy. While I appreciate sustainability efforts, it felt a bit extreme to charge extra for room cleaning, especially when the nightly rate is on par with hotels that include daily service. I personally only request cleaning on longer stays, but stillâthis approach seemed more about cutting costs than cutting waste.
All in all, a decent hotel for a short stay, and it served its purpose for a quick stop on our way to Europe. I donât regret staying here, but with so many options in the city, Iâd probably try somewhere else next time.
