The front desk staff seemed inexperienced and unprepared to handle basic customer service needs. They were unable to provide solutions for any of the issues we faced during our stay, and when asked questions about Charleston—a relatively small city—they had no helpful information. It's essential that hotel staff, especially those at the front desk who represent the establishment, are knowledgeable, accommodating, and proactive in ensuring guests have a pleasant stay.
Our room was not adequately cleaned, with noticeable stains on the walls and carpet, and hair from previous guests in the bathroom. The TV didn't work throughout our stay, despite staff checking it on two consecutive days without resolving the issue. Once again, the front desk was not helpful when approached about this problem. The pool, located on the roof, is more of a small soaking tub rather than a swimming pool, which may be disappointing if you were expecting to swim. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortable. Overall, the most disappointing aspect was the lack of professionalism and poor customer service.
