We arrived late at night due to having missed a train and only getting as far as Brussels, when The Hague was the plan. So we just needed a hotel to spend the night until catching the train onwards, glad to allow ourselves the luxury of this hotel directly in the Midi-trainstation. Room and bathroom very good, we slept well. Breakfast also quite good as far as the setup and selection goes. Only the staff did seem to have a horrible Monday. Not friendly, no smiles, the cook behind the counter, well, didn't even dare to ask him for some eggs, apart from the fact that he seemed to be wanting to hide away from work. Ours didn't seem to be an isolated perception, since another guest next to us at the breakfast table almost got into a row with the manager. And that is understandable, since the way the buffet was closed and the usual "ultimatum" declared was not the way to treat guests.
