This is going to be a very mixed review. On the upside — the rooms are luxurious, large, clean and comfortable. The pool and pool area are lovely. HOWEVER, this property is strangely located for a premium hotel. It is not central to anything (so best for guests traveling by car) but neither is it a country property. It is located very near a racetrack and we were subject to the whining noise of racing cars almost the entire time. (Although not late into the night.) To top it off, there seems to be a dog kennel immediately next door, Lots of annoying on and off barking. In a failed and ridiculous effort to cover these noises, the hotel plays thumping dance music in the pool area from a boom box, like we were in a disco, not an upscale hotel where the average age of the guests appears to be about 60. As we tried to relax and enjoy the pool, we were assaulted on all sides by noise. The hotel manager was not responsive to our request to turn off the music, in fact was quite nasty about it. Oh, and PS, our rooms were not ready at check in time. We had to go to lunch while they finished getting the rooms ready.
