The property overall is beautiful, from the views, to the decor, the cabin itself! You honestly cannot get better than this. My husband and I enjoyed our weekend away and we definitely plan on returning with our family. Brenda and her husband are great owners. They make the check in process seamless and are very attentive to their guest. The area of the cabin is down a long road and secluded, and yet still so close to everything, including Richmond, VA.

I flew from Florida into Richmond and met 3 friends from North Carolina to play some quality golf courses in Virginia. The cabin was perfect for us. It was centrally located to all the courses we wanted to play. It slept 4 guys perfectly with comfortable beds. We ate in each night and all of the kitchen appliances and the gas grill were outstanding. The location is isolated, but we loved that. Everything we needed in the cabin was provided. Thanks for making our trip a blast!

From start to finish Brenda was helpful, responsive and professional. Our family getting together happens infrequently and the Switzerland was a home away from home..it was everything needed for our Thanksgiving and more! If I could give this place a hundred stars I would! It is absolutely gorgeous!!! It has everything you could possibly need to make your stay over the top! Brenda was so kind and communicated with us quickly every time! It is secluded but close enough to anything you need! My kids (older teen twins and young adult daughter) absolutely loved it! They said of all of our vacations, this was their favorite place we’ve ever stayed in! Thank you so much for an amazing vacation!!

We had a wonderful time here! This home was beautiful and fit all of us very well during this family vacation from Maine and Massachusetts visiting our Virginians. The kids loved running around outdoors. The basement was perfect for the 2:30 a.m. tornado warning. It was great to have such a space to use. Thankfully it was just a precaution. This is a fantastic vacation rental--beautifully secluded, surrounded by woods. Absolutely quiet and peaceful. :The cabin is immaculate. Everything you need is on the first floor, but there is an upstairs loft if you need more space. The kitchen is well-stocked [there was even Stevia when I was there! (a sugar-supplement that's not overly common yet)]. Brenda is a pleasure to communicate with--quickly responds and friendly/thoughtful. Lovely/comfortable decor. Very, very comfortable bed; main bedroom has adequate and pleasant lighting (the 2nd one seems like it does too, I just didn't stay in it). I would definitely consider staying again if I am out that way and it is available.

Five guys used this property for a weekend leadership retreat. The listing and pictures are accurate. The price is right. The owner Brenda was super helpful and communicative beforehand. We had a great weekend at this lovely cabin! Highlights include: A very well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, roomy but cozy, nice gas grill, a propane patio heater for cool evenings out on the deck, a fire pit with firewood below the cabin, seclusion while being close to plenty of attractions within 1-2 hours. We would definitely go back to this place. Thanks for a great weekend!
