Personal hatte keinen Bock ! Zimmer einigermaßen o.k. Aber laut , direkt an der Straße! Bad gut aber die Heizung auf volle Pulle und nicht regulierbar ! Frühstück war auch gut .

The room looked fine on initial entry, but was in fact dirty, and the bathroom had excessive mould around the shower tray, there was only 1 young lady handling everything, we could see she was a little 'stressed', so asked some cleaning products for us to undertake our own cleaning, but she said they didn't have any. We asked to move rooms, to which she originally agreed, then said they were fully booked, which they absolutely were not. Someone from the kitchen shouted to her 'put them in ------ room, but seems that was as bad, as they then said they couldn't move us. We didn't stay, booked a different hotel and left.

Check in was advertised at 3.00pm, arrived at 4.50pm but room was not available & hadn't been cleaned as the cleaner didn't turn up? Menu was reduced as the chef didn't turn up either and no toilet rolls in the bathroom. I gave my breakfast order the night before but it was not passed onto the cover chef in the morning, so in all not a great experience but...would I stay there again...definitely yes. Michelle and her team were amazing, they did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable and it was. The room was clean & spacious. The hotel is full of character & is attracting locals & passers by. Michelle and her partner had just recently taken over and need time to settle in and put their stamp on the business. I will certainly return and stay longer next time. Thank you Michelle and all

Breakfast restaurant closed ?

Breakfast isn’t served until 8.30am. Had arranged for an 8.15 slot, came down stairs to the restaurant To find it closed no one around. Waited until 8.30am still no one turned up. Really let the stay down. No good booking this for a business stay.

From the previous reviews and the website we were hoping for really things. The food was okay but very small portions. The female owner was quite rude on arrival, seemed flustered and wasn’t that friendly throughout the stay. It was advertised as newly refurbished- it needs another good lick of paint and a good scrub. Overall it was just disappointing when you can see it has a lot more potential.

hotel does not serve food after 4pm on a sunday, it had many items missing of the breakfast menu where you had to book a slot, the issue was they didnt start breakfast until 8am and I started work by then. THey didnt clean the room in between the two days i stayed. The table for working was very limited and not good enough for a business traveller and if you get a room on the front you have to deal with the noise from the drunken patrons arguing outside whilst smoking

Loved staying here clean and welcoming lovely rooms and dog friendly. £15 charge for dogs nightly we didn’t know until getting there but didn’t mind paying it as the staff/owners were super helpful and friendly would definitely stay again

Check in was polite but rushed, shown to room and basically it was this is the room call us if you want anything. Started to unpack and found that the shelves attached to the clothes rail were thick with dust, and I mean thick, as was the rear of the settee which also had dog hairs on it which altogether spoilt the stay as you didn't know what was clean and what might be germy and we had seen no mention of dogs when booking, as we would not have booked there as wife is allergic to dogs. The evening food was OK but expensive for what it was,the breakfast was well cooked, some too well cooked and was to be honest pretty tasteless. We decide to mention it when we booked out, but surprise, there was a note on the bar door telling us to leave and lock the front door and post the keys back through the letterbox. Lovely stay

I had a lovely stay here and cannot fault a thing about it. I stayed on a Tuesday night which is their supper club evening, the restaurant was fully booked but they managed to squeeze me in. The food was lovely and really good value at £19 for 2 courses. The breakfast was also delicious! The bed was incredibly comfy with a good selection of pillows. The toiletries in the bathroom were locally sourced and really good quality. I would 100% recommend and hope to return myself soon.
