The hotel was undergoing renovations which had the 2nd floor hallway from the elevator to my room closed until 5pm. Had to use the back staircase to access my room. IF I had been disabled access to the room would have been impossible until after 5pm. There was NO notice that this was going on prior to arriving to check-in other than a notice about possible noise, and was even sent up the elevator after check-in and had to comeback down to be directed down to the very end of another hallway to use the stairs. Very poor communication.
The room itself was nice and comfortable.
Need to do better with guest communication prior to arriving to check-in and being surprised on arrival.
