I arrived at front desk at 8:30PM and waited almost 30 minutes for anyone to appear. Owner/manager shows up with hair wet and says he was taking a shower. UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
Owner/manager then tries to charge me extra for non-smoking room. I had booked on Hotels.com and intentionally looked for "non-smoking vs smoking" selection, but COULD NOT find that ANYWHERE on the list of room options. I explained this to him and he spent several minutes arguing with me about it! He finally gave me a room with dried paint spots all over the floor.
The next morning he RUDELY knocked on my door and said that it was 11:30. He charged me part of my deposit for leaving at 11:30AM instead of 11:00AM. I explained that I thought checkout was at NOON, as I had not seen any information on the checkout time. He was very rude and said I should have known and that it was on my receipt. I don't know what receipt he was talking about since he NEVER gave me one and I had booked online.
As a small business owner myself, I am generally sympathetic to owner/operators of other small businesses. However, his LACK OF ROFESSIONALISM and his POOR ATTITUDE ensures that I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!
