This is clearly a hotel in transition - and sometimes this showed. Check in was a little tricky and there was just a sense of people being not fully up to speed with how things worked (though all very friendly and positive). Couple of small issues in the room: air con kept on showing an error and beeping, and then restarting later; soundproofing between rooms isn't great; the showergel hadn't been replenished and ran out; one of the shower heads was a bit faulty. Staff received feedback well. Generally very clean, modern hotel with a nice view over the ever-developing Manchester. Good staff. I am sure once the transition has been completed and things are bedded in it will receive a higher rating.

Arrived and couldn't get parking due to the fact that you have to call and pre-book (they have a reduced rate with another car park apparently). It took a long time to check in and it was odd because I was the only person asked to fill out a form plus the person at the service desk made several calls and even said he needed a room? Hotel surroundings were good, room was OK.

Amazing stay last night. We arrived and the people at check in were so helpful and kind, loved they shared our room had air con which we can manage ourselves! We got upgraded from a double to a king deluxe so there was more room for us to get ready for my graduation. Room was impeccable and stunning! Only downside is that Netflix wasn’t working so had to suffice to normal TV (old school bake off) as I couldn’t connect my phone either. Desk advised that it’s because the interface hasn’t been set up yet which is fine :) Very clean, well lit and huge huge beds! Me and my partner were able to spread out and enjoy the air con. Both of us have said we’d visit and stay again 100%

Newly opened a couple of weeks ago, welcomed by friendly staff, room as good as Premier Inn etc. On 18th floor with view over Deansgate station. Air-conditioning worked fine just as well as it was 32C out there during the day. Bar was open until 11pm. Breakfast buffet was good, Full English available under hot lamps. All staff friendly and chatty. Welcome letter warned of snags to be worked out since they were newly opened, but all good. £61 with brekky, bargain ! 👍

I was staying at this hotel and was evacuated 3 times due to the hotel fire alarms going off - I presume in error but I don’t know for sure as the hotel refuses to provide any detail as to why the alarms kept going off. There was no fire and I suspect it was going off in error and they do not want to admit to it. However one of their cooks told me the sensors were at fault in the kitchen. The alarm going off once in error fair enough that can happen but 3 times??? As a result I had hardly any sleep and I paid for a service which I did not receive which should have been a peaceful night where I was able to sleep. In the end I was evacuated 3 times from 1am to 8am. The whole attitude of this hotel in regards to how dismissive they are about the poor service they provided is shocking. I would advise not to use a company that seems to view this sort of service as acceptable.

Travelled here for 1 night and was excited to try new hotel. At check in was advised we had been upgraded to a superior room and was extremely thankful. I had originally booked a standard room so one up from basic room which is compact. On entering room noticed no desk area or chair which is why I had booked a standard room as most basic did not advise of this. Called back down to reception to query if the upgraded superior room came without any desk or chairs and he then said “I gave you what you paid for”. I explained i had intended to do some work and that the description on the website stated desk and he said no it doesn’t. I showed him hotel website on my phone and he was very dismissive. I was told a chair would be sent up. His tone had completely changed and obviously the upgrade was in fact not true which left me feeling a bit confused and attitude and honesty is not what I would expect of a new hotel. Room itself was clean but extremely compact - never did get to the bottom of whether I even got the standard room or in fact a lower grade room. Came back from our evening out and a chair had been brought to the room, however this was broken. Checked the fridge for the free complimentary water as it was 32 degrees that day (also advertised on the room descriptions on hotels own website) and these were not in fridge. Called back down to reception and was told you have to pay for them? Overall good stay, clean and comfy bed but service needs improvement.

I was given a lovely room on the 22nd floor - gorgeous views, quiet and had all the expected amenities thugh shower pressure was slightly on the disappointing side. Breakfast was excellent and staff were generally polite and helpful Good location and would consider staying again in the future
