Lovely country pub, perfect for a stop over or to stay a few nights in the countryside. Staff were friendly and thoughtful, the food was excellent, and the restaurant/beer garden out the back was lovely in the warm summer eve.

Have stayed here a few times and have had a lovely stay every time. The rooms are comfortable and they provide fresh milk for tea in the morning which is a really nice and thoughtful touch. The food is always good and service is efficient and friendly. Breakfast is freshly cooked with a good selection of cereals and juices. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

We had an excellent stay. The accommodation had an awesome rustic feel with newly renovated, clean rooms and the restaurant below was also fantastic. The location was beautiful and close enough to walk to the Stourhead and take in the stunning gardens. Staff was also very kind and helpful. Cannot reccomend this place enough!

Fabulous stay, staff lovely. Food amazing. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. I always worry about not sleeping, due to uncomfortable beds, but I slept soooo well. Wish It was closer to home we're over 4hours away. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay. Welcome was courteous and helpful. We had an evening meal which was delicious. Service was great. Breakfast was the highlight! Enjoyed the Dorset dairy yoghurt. One very minor point no smoked salmon alternative to bacon with the eggs Benedict but mushroom was suggested instead and was equally delicious. Overall an excellent stay room was comfy, cosy and clean - thank you 🙏
