Beneath the golden domes of Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Sofia reveals itself as a city where Roman ruins peek between communist blocks and stylish cafes. The yellow-brick lanes of Vitoshka Boulevard offer prime people-watching while sipping Bulgaria's potent coffee. Sofia Balkan Palace
"Stayed here for our 3rd/4th time as loyal Bonvoy guests. Staff was friendly and even upgraded us to the Presidential Suite after seeing us walk ~80m from the parking lot with luggage (no accessible transport). But the room let us down: carpets old, stained and dirty, floors unvacuumed, furniture disarranged, and zero decor. Lobby is beautiful, but the room didn’t match those standards. No surprise the Bonvoy partnership seems to have ended"
Expo Hotel Sofia
"Good place"
Best Western Terminus Hotel
"I come all time to this hotel so love it and the manger is number one its not hotel its family"
Hotel Via Serdika
"Great stay. New hotel. Walkable to the center and much more affordable than staying in the center. Great value. Good breakfast included. Small gym, good for a decent work out. Staff is helpful. Rooms are very clean and good size. Walls are paper thin though you can hear neighbors even when they are not being loud. I would recommend and stay again."
Metropolitan Hotel Sofia, a member of Radisson Individuals
"I have to say this was a too fancy business-type hotel for us, I didn't expect this and I rarely give such good reviews for hotels. Honestly I don't really care about how fancy it is, but it was well maintained and the rooms were comfortable and cleaned very well. The bathroom was nice and also cleaned very well. You can't use the elevator without the key for your room and that was tricky, and also scary for me, because it was one of those elevators where you can see the outside and it was too much excitement for this old lady 😆. They offer breakfast which seems a bit pricey for me and we decided to try somewhere else. There was a gas station really close by with baked goods and we went there. But I am definitely keeping this hotel in the books for the future, and maybe next time will try the breakfast."
InterContinental Sofia by IHG
"Disappointed with club lounge when we we unable to get a further drink 20 mins before end time and told bar was busy. However on check out this was acknowledged and we were made an offer of transfer to airport but as pre- booked one, we asked for a complimentary drink which was provided. Otherwise a great hotel, staff, breakfast and comfortable room. Had trestment at spa which was lovely. Walking to centre easy and things to see around the hotel"
B1 Downtown Hotel
"Nice location. Walking distance to old town and other places of interest. Room was clean and the staff was helpful."
Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia
"Clean, modern and well done room"
Rosslyn Thracia Hotel
"This was a very nice hotel in a great location. I would have given this stay a better rating except for one thing. As an English guest , who always selects breakfast as the in house option, I was extremely disappointed to find that at breakfast the hot drink option was predominantly coffee ( which I don’t drink), fruit juice/ water and herbal style teas ( same in hotel room) but no English breakfast or Indian style teas. I wasn’t the only English guest who commented on this. Please get some English style tea:)"
