Usually I dont post negative reviews. I figure it may be one off and rather speak to the manager; but this time I must!
This is a budget hotel not a 5 star hotel but due to supposed “peak week” this room cost 3 times the usual rate! And what did I get for it? Practically nothing.
My check-in process took longer than usual because they couldn’t find my booking, (ok that happens sometimes): there was no elevator so I had to walk up 2 flights upstairs with my heavy luggage (ok fine I’ll deal with it). Then I get to the hotel room:
It couldn’t be more basic. No tissues (blew my nose with toilet paper) no bottled water, but even worse,not even a kettle to boil water! The hotel does not have restaurant yet there is no kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee or even a cup of soup (which I always carry with me just in case!).
But they did have a vending machine with chips chocolate and soft drinks.
But the worst part ? The next day when I got back after work, housekeeping hadn’t been and I had no fresh towels nor was my garbage collected from the dinner I had delivered the night before.
When I went to reception, she said I needed to scan a QR code to organise housekeeping! (She was polite at least)
If they hadn’t charged me an exorbitant amount to stay perhaps I wouldn’t comment but I’m getting sick of being ripped off. Happy to pay top dollar but that should come with value for money. Of course Hotel.com is also to blame. I won’t stay here again
