Hotel is a nice quaint hotel that provides an overall nice experience but does require some modernisation but i guess this is reflected in the price.
There were elements that were frustrating like welcome orientation meeting cancelled, only live music in venue once per week, lack of snacks during the day like ice cream & variety of sandwiches, Sunbeds were old and had some stains on pillows and covers.
Also need to be aware it is 1.75 hours from the airport so a bit of a track.
However there were many positives from our stay:
-It was far cheaper than other options to stay in this area with all inclusive & pool etc
-Quality of food was nice with menu changing every 3 days and when asked they always accommodated a variation that we liked.
-Very nice close atmosphere with guests as small hotel and very personal. Unique compared to others.
-Great staff from food servers (Lana) to bar staff who remembered small details & were very professional.
-Location is nice with nice beach and bars close by but only for basic shopping.
-Friday night street party was a great experience.
-If you are willing to do some travelling why there a great stop is the capital to se ethe market and duty free shopping.
-We had a nice bay in Smugglers Cove where if you eat at the restaurant for lunch you can use the beds overhanging the beach and see for free which is great.
-Our favourite day was at Doolittle's Marigot Bay where again if you eat at the restaurant you can use facilities by pool and beach.
We loved our stay at Soco House! Reduit Beach is literally right outside the hotel with loungers & umbrellas available for guests. The staff are beyond friendly & accomodating, the drinks kept flowing & the hotel itself is stunningly decorated. The restaurant switched up its menu every couple days which we appreciated & little touches like coolers packed with beers to take to the beach were the cherry on top!
the advertisement is misleading. It looks that is by the beach and is about 5 minutes from it. The all inclusive is made of restrictive menus that which chooses were not appealing to me. There is not an elevator. Property is old.
The most notable thing about staying at the Soco House was the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We were a day late checking in due to missing our connecting flight due to mechanical issues with the plane leaving Omaha. We were not able to contact the Soco house to inform them of late arrival. When we did arrive the next day, we were accommodated. There was an issue with the television in our room not working (important to have a working t.v during the hot parts of the day since my husband can't be in the sun too long) The manager upgraded us to a room with an extended balcony which was very nice. We truly enjoyed our stay. Yes, we would stay at Soco house again! Highly recommend!
Staff were excellent, Top notch! Food was delicious, a better variety for breakfast could be had but everything was great. Facilities were nice and cleaned daily! Huge shout out to Chester, Barry, Jamal, restaurant staff and management.
The staff were great, however, the hotel itself seems old and outdated. The staff, especially in the dining room, and James at the pool bar are fantastic.
