Rimligt och ändå prisvärt hotell för övernattning inför eller efter flygning. Inget extravagant men man får vad man betalar för. Hade önskat mer information om transporter i receptionen, och lättare kontakt med receptionist. Inchekning fungerade dock helt utan problem, trots att jag anlände mitt i natten.

First of all- our booking had disappeared from the system, the receptionist had to go to a customer’s room to clarify his name. My room (number 25) had multiple flaws, including a broken side table. On arrival, I placed my mobile down on said table and it immediately collapsed. The tap in the bathroom was broken in half, leaving sharp edges out, obvious cut risk. Will i recommend this place? No. However, location is convenient.

I wish I’d just paid more to go to a chain hotel. This was terrible, the shower took 10 minutes to warm up by this point the bathroom was already flooded and the water was leaking into the bedroom floor. One of the great benefits was ‘FREE PARKING’ listed on their advert but I was in fact charged for parking for the few hours I was there overnight!!! Conveniently close to the airport but that’s about all that was good about this place.

Poor, water damaged flooring and ant issue, bathroom tiles lifting due to water issue, no towels in bathroom to shower, run down not even worth the low charge, left at 2am as was bitten by something. Will never stay again, probably once a nice place but not anymore 2/10.

The staff was very accommodating and polite. However the room and safety conditions were very poor - curtains and window sill mouldy and dirty - batbroom smelt of poo and dirty flooring - main door to room didn’t lock - cushions dirty - food spillage on the walls

I stayed here one night before an early flight from stanstead. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 min drive to the airport. The chap at front desk was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were both clean as was the shower. The room had tea making facilities and a hair dryer. The bed was not so good very bumpy, you could feel the springs, and parking is not free as stated I was charged £6. 50. Overall ok for a one night stay.

Instructions of room location and card key available at reception after hours. Room was clean but there was no towels available to use. There was coffee, tea and sugar sachets to use, however, there was no milk. Pretty disappointing with the omission of these basic items.

Cheap, but not so cheerful. Stayed here prior to an early flight from Stansted. I was a little concerned from the moment I walked into the reception area, with no proper reception desk and looking like it was in the middle of a refurb (I don't think it was). It only got worse in the room. The mattresses on the beds were terrible. One you could feel every spring, the other appeared to have no springs and had given up any pretence of being a mattress. Needless to say, I did not get much sleep. There were small lamps on the wall that didn't work, were not properly attached to the wall and you could see exposed wires. The shower was just hanging loose as the fixture for holding the showerhead was broken, which meant you had the hold the showerhead whilst trying to wash yourself. The walls were thinner than a tent, which you could hear every noise from the other rooms, and the road noise outside was like having the cars driving through the room. In the interests of fairness, I will say that towels and bedding did appear to be clean. If you're looking for hotel close to Stansted Airport. I would recommend looking elsewhere and spending a little more.

Lodge is served by some buses but on a limited service. Plenty of buses stop at “The Four Ashes” pub 1 mile along the road. Check in easy. Room large and well appointed - apart from the floor.

It was meh. The front desk guy was good. It is what it is. Cheap. We weren’t looking for luxuries, just a place to lay our heads. You get what you pay for… it was fine.
