Avoid this hotel if cleanliness is important to you.
We stayed at The premier inn Edinburgh (South Queensferry) for two nights. During our stay, we discovered what appeared to be extensive mould in our room. Our young daughter had already touched and played with the affected area before we realized what it was, which left us genuinely concerned about potential health risks.
What disappointed us even more was how the issue was handled. When I reported it to the front desk, I was told, "Just wipe it off, you'll be fine." I then asked whether she would like to see the photos I had taken, and her response was simply, "No." There was no apparent concern, no effort to inspect the room immediately, and no interest in reviewing the evidence.
This is not the level of cleanliness or customer service I expect from a Premier Inn property. Visible mould should be treated as a serious maintenance and guest safety issue, not dismissed with a suggestion to wipe it away.
I have since escalated the matter directly to City of Edinburgh Council, Premier inn guest service office and provided photographs. I sincerely hope the hotel conducts a thorough inspection and addresses the issue before other guests, especially families with young children, are placed in the same situation.
Based on my experience, stay away from this property.
