We arrived at 0245 from Luton airport, a family of 3. There are no drinks facilities in the room at all. Not even a glass to use for water.
We had previously emailed advising on our late arrival, this wasn't a problem as the desk is manned 24hrs. Breakfast was included, but we missed it due to our late arrival. (And obviously sleeping) Check out is 11am, there is a coffee machine available in the lobby, so once up and showered I ventured down to fetch myself and my wife a much needed coffee. This was at 1030. Only to find the coffee machine being cleaned. I was advised that it would take 20 minutes to complete the clean. So we went without a drink. I've no idea why they just wouldn't wait until check out time at 11 to do the coffee machine? There was a water dispenser in the lobby, but that was empty too, presumably emptied and closed after breakfast (0630-0900)
Lastly, we were just leaving our room (to check out) at 1050 and there was a knock on the door by housekeeping. Again, just wait the 10 mins till check out time.
The hotel served our purpose of a bed after a late night flight. But i wouldn't use them again. Every brit is gasping for a cuppa in the morning, especially if you've been abroad (and suffered non English tea for a couple of weeks) an easily rectified problem that shouldn't need resolving.
