Our room was clean. There was a soccer match going on during the night of our first stay and it did get a bit noisy out on the street outside our room until about 1:00 AM. Other than that it was a good place to stay and within a short distance to Edinburgh castle and the Royal mile.

Some staff were not so friendly. The beds were not the best and this room was more expensive than the nice place we stayed in Glasgow and Ireland. Not the best room and if paying the money may want to look at others in the same area first.

Das Hotel ist unterbesetzt, sodass die Angestellten mehrere Jobs machen müssen. Zimmer waren sauber, aber zu vergleich zu anderen Premier Inns nicht so sauber. Die Klimaanlage bzw. Heizanlage sollte gereinigt werden. Beim betreteten des Zimmers waren zwei Deckenplatten lose. Das Wasser hätte wärmer sein können. Die Lage ist gut und in der nähe gibt es viele Essensmöglichkeiten und Supermärkte. Zu Fuß kann man auch schnell die Altstadt erreichen. ich gebe dem Hotel persönlich 3 von 5 Sternen, da ich "saubere" Premiere Inns kennen.

When arriving at the hotel, we had to wait at least 15 minutes untill somebody showed up to check us in, there is a buzzer one can use but it was completely ignored by the staff. We booked a double room but there was only 1 towel. Once again there was nodoby at the reception desk to ask for more towels so we left a note. The next morning we wanted to eat breakfast at the hotel, we booked a room without it so we needed to pay for it of course but the lady working at that time did everything in her power to NOT assist so we left, i wonder if she ever heard of the word service minded. I would strongly recommended to book another hotel

A well kept hotel with great breakfast. They were very accommodating to my celiac disease. Comfortable room and helpful staff, as they also stored our luggage. A little farther away than I thought it would be from where we spent our time, but it was quiet.

Mixed experience The check-in with the gentleman at reception was very pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait for quite some time as only one person was handling check-ins. What we found unusual was that we had to actively request room cleaning every day. Considering the room rate of almost €400 per night, we would have expected this to be handled more smoothly. The next morning, we waited at reception again to arrange the cleaning. When we returned, someone had clearly been in the room, as the missing cup had been replaced with a clean one – but the used dishes were still there, the rubbish had not been emptied, and the room had otherwise not been cleaned. We complained at reception and the room was given a quick service that evening: the beds were made and the towels changed, but the bathroom was not cleaned and the rubbish was still not emptied. On the third day, the room service finally worked as expected. Unfortunately, having to repeatedly queue at reception, wait and explain the situation was quite frustrating and made the stay less relaxing than it should have been. We also sent the hotel a written complaint about the issue on the first day, but unfortunately never received a response. Overall, a mixed experience. The friendly service from the gentleman at check-in was appreciated, but we would have expected the room service and communication to be much more seamless.

La habitación tenía un buen tamaño para 3 personas. El baño estaba bien y el nivel de limpieza era bueno. El personal, muy amable y atento. El desayuno tipo buffet es variado y muy completo. Las zonas comunes del hotel eran correctas. El hotel está cerca de Grassmarket, así que la ubicación es muy buena. El precio es bastante elevado, pero acorde a lo que hay en Edimburgo. Muy recomendable.

This hotel appeared to be understaffed. Too few people doing multitasking especially at breakfast. I rarely saw any cleaning staff. I found the frequent random bumping noises possibly from doors closing, very disruptive to sleep. The location was quiet and a short walking distance to central Old town. The building itself is charmless and utilitarian. I felt this hotel cost too much for what you got.
