The hotel is old and feels neglected.
The thermostat is one of the oldest devices in existence, and it was never possible to regulate the temperature in the room. We stayed there during the winter, and one day there was a snowstorm. Even though we selected the heating temperature, the air coming out was freezing. The windows are not sealed, so all the cold from outside seeps into the room, and the noise from outside can be heard even with the window closed (it literally felt like the window was open).
The room cleaning was very poor. There was hair in the sinks and even on the bathroom ceiling when we checked in. In addition, housekeeping was not performed daily. We had to request it at the front desk several times, and even then, they never came.
Furthermore, the room was supposed to include two courtesy bottles of water per day, but after the first night, they were never restocked. We had to ask for them at the front desk, only to find out that we were charged for them after checkout.
In general, the hotel staff is not very helpful or service-oriented. There is no one to help you carry your bags to your room, and the hotel entrance doors malfunctioned and were sometimes out of order.
It is not even a cheap hotel, so for those rates, there are countless options that are surely much better.
