When I arrived at the Bay Inn, there were two workers at the desk arguing. The desk was behind plexiglass and the lobby was very run down. There were two people in front of me waiting for the back and forth to end in order to check in.
Once checked in, I found my room. There was a group of people loitering right outside of my room, very loud and essentially having a party in the parking lot. (Annoying, not necessarily the hotels fault)
The room looked nothing like the photos provided online. There were patches on the walls, the floor was concave, the comforter had burn marks all over it, and it smelled really bad. I can’t say it was dirty, it had obviously been cleaned but the quality of the room was severely lacking. The mattress was clearly old, it creaked when you moved and only two pillows were provided for a king sized bed.
The remote for the tv was not compatible to the tv on the wall, again, not the end of the world but inconvenient.
All in all, I didn’t sleep well and I woke up early and checked out. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and don’t have high or even medium standards, this place is for you. I will not return. I didn’t feel safe, the room was unsatisfactory, and the check in experience was terrible. I do not recommend.
