I stayed at Radisson Blu for 3 nights and, as a Radisson Club member, I have to say this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had—not just globally, but even across Africa.
To begin with, the breakfast was shockingly poor: the bread was old, the selection was far from healthy, and the cheese was cut so thin it was barely visible—I’ve never seen anything like it. The cucumbers were inedible on multiple mornings, and there was zero variety day-to-day.
In-room coffee was another letdown. No espresso machine, no proper coffee setup—just terrible instant coffee in sachets, which is unacceptable at this price point.
I paid $130–$150 per night, and to put this in perspective, many of the staff here earn $40 a month. It makes me wonder where that money goes, because it certainly doesn’t reflect in the quality of the service, food, or amenities.
Radisson should seriously re-evaluate the standards at this property. It doesn’t live up to the brand’s promise, and I would not recommend it to fellow travelers.
