"We stayed at the Sitia Beach Resort & Spa, which is still advertised as a five-star hotel – maybe it was 15 years ago, but not anymore. The entire complex feels outdated and in need of renovation. We had booked a Maisonette room, but it was dark and located directly by the main pool. It was impossible to open the windows for light or fresh air because of the constant noise and lack of privacy. We asked to change rooms and moved to the main building, which was slightly better, but the bathroom was so tiny that there was no space to put any personal items. We had booked with breakfast, but the food was a major disappointment: mostly industrial, frozen products simply warmed up by the kitchen – far from what you’d expect from a hotel in this category. Overall, we left one day earlier than planned, disappointed and relieved to go home. Definitely not worth the five stars or the price."

"Sehr schöne moderne Zimmer, zwei gute Pools jeweils mit Babybecken, kleiner Spielplatz, direkt am Strand und mehrere leckere Tavernen in Laufnähe, das Essen im Hotel (wir hatten Frühstück und Abendessen) ist in Ordnung, Auswahl und Qualität könnte größer/besser sein."

"Wir waren als Familie 10 Tage im Hotel. Klare Weiterempfehlung auch wenn der Transfer vom Flughafen etwas dauert. Besonders hervorzuheben: - Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. - Tolle Auswahl an Speisen - Angenehme Animation (nicht aufdringlich und trotzdem präsent und spaßig) - Überdachter Pool und Spielplatz für die Kleinen - Hohes Maß an Sauberkeit - Direkt Lage an tollem Strand - Außerdem angenehm: Vielfältiges Publikum (jung, alt, Familien)"
