"The hotel is awesome.Yes, the rooms are basically closets with a mattress and two feet of ground to stand on. I splurged and got the double bed room and do that, I can't imagine squeezing into the single. But the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, there was ZERO light in the room with the lights off, so if you like dark rooms, you'll love this. It's a deep cave. But there was a light switch on the wall right next to your pillow so easy to light things up. Built in speakers for bluetooth. The people who work there keep the place perfect. It's all rather new and everything is clean and well designed. There is a cafe and bar downstairs which is decent and a rooftop lounge area where you can smoke, drink or just hang out with plenty of good furniture. I spent two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The neighborhood is kinda cruddy, with people sleeping on the sidewalk, but it didn't feel dangerous and a short walk to a great, lively street and plenty of sidewalk cafes. it's just a few blocks to the train station. If I'm travelling alone, I'd certainly stay there again. It had a good energy and was very clean. Two people in the tiny pod would get tough, but for solo travel, do it.

"Great stay at the Radisson in St Pauli, room had everything I needed, bar area was also ok for a beer waiting for mates which also offered free tea & coffee. St Paulis was a bit rundown but knew that before booked. The hotel did what I wanted it to and is also a short walk from the S bahn if you are getting the train in from the airport, which is also a bonus "

10/10 Excellent
"Great location, friendly staff and nice room. Only surprise was shower can be seen when you walk into the room as there is no separation from entrance/bedrooms with dividing wall. "
"This is a great location in the city because is near the train station (Hbf) where the S- & U-bahn, buses and taxis are plentiful. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and nonsmoking. It is an older building and has an elevator, but there are often steps to negotiate on each floor. "
"The room was perfect. Comfortable bed for 3 nights. The staff were amazing and the complimentary 3 day pass for transit was a great surprise. Would recommend this hotel."
"As a non-German speaker, this was a super easy and welcoming hotel. It has more hostel vibes (the check in is at the bar, offer for a free drink in lieu of room cleaning) but the rooms are totally luxurious. I got a canal facing room and highly recommend it."
